When We Collided

I'm a little conflicted with this book. I didn't really get why it was a dual narrative because it was obviously Vivi's story and not Jonah's, really. This would've been a better story of Vivi's instead of the odd kind of romance book this turned out to be.

Disaster Falls

This was such a touching story, but I think the writing was lacking...something. More depth? My feeling? I can't put my finger on it. I just didn't feel all the horror and trauma that would've come after this incident. Parts were touching and well-done, but overall...eh.

Everything You Need You Have

A quick, easy read. This was full of insight and very interesting ideas about the connection to the body. The little wheel with organs vs time of the day (for example, 11pm-1am is sleeping & regenerating - and the gallbladder). Definitely recommend for those not looking for you typical "self-help" book.

Love & Gelato

Thursday, February 9, 2017

I thought this was uber cute and had just enough realistic drama. Makes you want to move to Italy (maybe not live in the cemetery) and meet the cute boy nextdoor (oh, and don't forget to find the secret bakery and eat your weight in gelato). A feel-good, cute love story.

Survive the Night

I didn't love this as much as The Merciless, but this was still pretty good. Imagine the clown from It hosts a party in the sewer and you kind of have this book.  Parts were a little 'meh' and confusing (bestie drugs bestie? Huh?), but I'd still say give this a whirl.

Emmy & Oliver

Like a lot of people, I expected this to either be A) full of kidnapping drama or B) heavy on the romance - and it was kinda neither, which was nice. Instead it was more of a growing up, keep strong friendships, appreciate your family type of story. The romance was just kind of a (realistic) bonus.

Black Ice

This was a HUGE surprise for me; I ended up really liking it! This had cute romance and a nice twist in it. Another I ended up reading in one sitting!
